The SIS PTO funds completed a 30X50 concrete pad of Four Square (other games coming soon) for the playground. A huge shout-out goes to Glenn Strong Sr. and Sam May! Glenn hauled and donated six loads of dirt for the project. Sam works for the Arkansas Forestry Division of Grant County. He and his and crew leveled the surface and dirt for the new concrete pad so that the project could begin. The students are enjoying this addition to the playground! Thanks to PTO, Glenn Strong, and Sam May!
I forgot to send the Parent Newsletter to you all.

Have a great Sunday!
Deputy D’s fifth-grade Danger Dodgers dedicated a Buddy Bench to their classmates during lunch recess on Thursday, January 4. A Buddy Bench is a designated seat in schools where children can sit if they need a friend. It stands out, promotes awareness, and helps prevent bullying. Children who want a friend to play or talk with can sit on the Buddy Bench. Danger Dodgers and other children are encouraged to invite them to join activities. Repeated use of the bench signals the need for support, prompting school staff to assist. The dedication of the Buddy Bench was made possible by Woodman Life Chapter 6 in Sheridan.
Fifth-grade Danger Dodgers are Reagan Shirron, Aaliyah Cobb, Howie Griffin, Michelle Elliott, Levi Starks, Cooper Henderson, and Peyton Fennessy.
